Punjab budget for fiscal year 2016-17 to be presented today

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Budget for fiscal year 2016-17 will be presented in Provincial Assembly on Monday at 1600 hours. Provincial Finance Minister Dr Ayesha Ghaus Pasha will present the budget, while provincial Cabinet will meet in Lahore today to consider and approve the budget for the next financial year. Sources said that the Punjab is expected to receive Rs 1043 billion in respect of National Finance Award, while Rs 30 billion under foreign aid. The revenue target is set at Rs 278 billion. Sources said that Rs 70 billion has been proposed for construction of roads and highways. A sum of Rs 26 billion has been allocated for Health and Rs 42 billion has been allocated for development projects.
