Punjab Cabinet sub-committee approves release of 100 more banned TLP workers

LAHORE (92 News) – The Punjab Cabinet sub-committee has approved the release of 100 more workers besides removing names of 90 banned TLP people from the Fourth Schedule.

The workers are being released after an agreement between the government and the banned TLP. According to the Kasur DPO, 37 TLP people, including the Fourth Schedule, have been released from District Jail.

On the other hand, 196 people arrested under the 16 MPO have been released from Muridke. However, those arrested under sections of terrorism, kidnap and murder would not be released.

Meanwhile, an application has been filed in the Lahore High Court for the released of banned TLP chief Saad Rizvi. However, the court disposed of the petition for its withdrawal.
