Punjab calls in army, Rangers for PSL X matches security
LAHORE (92 News) The Punjab Home Department has called in Army and Rangers troops for the security of Pakistan Super League (PSL) X matches in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan.
According to the Punjab Home Department spokesperson, the Pakistan Army and Rangers troops have been called in to assist the police to ensure foolproof security at match venues in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan.
The services of Special Services Group (SSG) and Army Aviation helicopters have also been called in at all three match venues.
The PSL X matches are scheduled from April 11 to May 18. The services of troops have been called in for security from April 6 to May 19.
The participation of national and foreign dignitaries, players, match officials, and other staff makes the PSL X a high-profile event.
Foolproof security arrangements will be in place during matches, teams’ stay, and travel in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan.
