Punjab CM expresses anger at failure to act against rising inflation

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar on Tuesday expressed anger over the concerned authorities for failing to act against rising inflation. During a high-level meeting, Usman Buzdar ordered authorities to immediately take strict action by implementing effective measures against profiteers and hoarders across Punjab for getting control over rising prices of daily use commodities. The Punjab chief minister directed to implement the strategy for price control, whereas, the chief minister has also questioned for rate lists of commodities from concerned divisions through a video link conference. Earlier, the Punjab chief minister had directed the concerned departments to curb price hikes and control rising inflation and undertake practical measures on the matter. He also said that it is the government’s responsibility to provide maximum relief to its people and efforts need to be made and sped up on conundrum. Lashing out at the concerned departments, CM Buzdar said that the designated authorities needed a rude awakening and would be held accountable if visible measures are not undertaken to provide relief to the general public.
