Punjab CM Ch Pervaiz Elahi pays tribute to former COAS Qamar Bajwa

LAHORE (92 News) - Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has paid tribute to former COAS Qamar Bajwa, saying that the era of former army chief will be remembered in history.

In a message on Tuesday, he said that the world acknowledged the excellent character of General Qamar Bajwa.

"The credit of eliminating terrorism goes to former COAS Qamar Bajwa. The Pak Army rendered meritorious services during the calamities of the earthquake and floods. He also has social and religious services," he maintained.

He said the work done by the former army chief for the betterment of the country will be remembered forever.

Ch Pervaiz Elahi also congratulated COAS Asim Munir and expressed good wishes for him. "Inshallah, COAS Asim Munir will prove himself to be the best army chief and our prayers are with him," he added.

The chief minister asserted that India should not think that they are deserted. "The Pakistan Army is the best organization in the world and there is a whole system. The best army in the world is the Pakistan Army. The Pakistan Army keeps an eye everywhere, especially on foreign policy and other issues that are also under their observation. With the help of Allah Almighty, the new Army Chief Syed Asim Munir will not let anyone cast an evil eye on the motherland," he concluded.
