Punjab CM Chaudhary Parvez Elahi gives Gujrat status of division

GUJRAT (92 News) - Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhary Parvez Elahi on Friday declared Gujrat a division.

He was accorded a rousing welcome on reaching Gujrat.

Addressing the gathering, Chaudhary Parvez Elahi expressed his resolve to make Gujrat like Aligarh. He said that Jalalpur Jatta and Kunjah would be given the status of tehsil.

The chief minister said that an engineering university will be established in Gujrat. "The capacity of Wazirabad Cardiology Hospital is being increased by 500 beds. Moreover, 500 beds will be added to Aziz Bhatti Hospital," he declared.

He said that jobs in all departments had been advertised. "We will give farmers solar water pumps without any interest. Imran Khan is still our prime minister," he added.
