LAHORE (92 News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz took a notice of slapping an elderly woman in Taxila.

Addressing the first meeting on law and order after assuming her office on Monday, she said: "Who will respect the law if a law enforcer breaks the law?"

The chief minister expressed the resolve to make the police a public service force through reforms, modern equipment and training. "There will be zero-tolerance against corruption. Merit will be my policy and there will be no compromise on it," she declared.

Maryam Nawaz said that the system of registering immediate FIR as well as use of digital and IT system would be improved. "We will remove the drawbacks of the prosecution," she added.
