Punjab CM removes DC Okara over public complaints

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar has Thursday removed Okara deputy commissioner (DC) and Depalpur assistant commissioner (AC) over public complaints and negligence in their duty.

CM Buzdar visited the Okara and Depalpur and reviewed the cleanliness of the cities as well as addressed the public complaints. He removed Depalpur AC over poor sanitation and corruption complaints.

In a statement, the Punjab chief minister said that the officers should leave the misuse of their authority and make their motto to provide services to the public.

The CM expressed anger over slow development work of Okara-Depalpur Road. He said sudden visits like these reveal ground realities. He maintained that Sahulat Bazars have been formed to provide relief to the masses.

The CM further said that he takes feedback from people and will not tolerate any negligence by the authorities.

It is noteworthy here that Additional deputy commissioner revenue has been appointed as Okara DC.
