LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar on Wednesday summoned a high-level emergency meeting for devising a strategy to tackle Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl’s (JUI-F) Plan B.
Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat, Information and Culture Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal, Punjab Chief Secretary Yousaf Naseem Khokhar, Inspector General of Police Capt (r) Arif Nawaz Khan and other concerned officials will attend the meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office.
The Punjab government will review law and order situation and devise a strategy to keep the traffic running on roads.
On the other hand, the JUI-F started to implement on the Plan B
and closed Chaman Shahrah at Syed Hamid cross in Quetta.
According to the reports, the traffic jammed and the long queues of vehicles at Chaman Shahrah due to the protest of JUI-F. The JUI-F finalized the Plan B, deciding to close all main roads across the country while continuing the sit-in from Wednesday.
The plan was finalized during a meeting presided over by JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Tuesday. All the provincial party ameers briefed Maulana Fazlur Rehman about the preparations for the Plan B.
The JUI-F will place Rawalpindi and Islamabad on lockdown.

Soomro said that they will have to end the wait. “The Plan B is the plan to move ahead, not to retreat. We will not go towards the extreme. However, we cannot desist from the resignation,” he said.
Meanwhile, National Party leader Mir Hasil Bizanjo called on Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence. They also discussed different matters, including the Azadi March and closure of all main roads.
Addressing the participants of Azadi March, the JUI-F chief said that their struggle will continue for toppling the ‘illegal’ government.
He announced that the Azadi March participants will fight a battle against the government in each city after leaving the federal capital.
