LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar on Tuesday urged the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) to refrain from negative politics after hosting a flop show at Minar-e-Pakistan.

In his statement, the Punjab chief minister said that people gave verdict against the opposition’s corrupt leadership in the Lahore rally and PDM’s politics of resignation will also fail badly. "The opposition has fallen back," he commented.

“There will only be progress in Pakistan from now onwards. The opposition must wait until 2023 as its ploys will be foiled. Every conspiracy against PTI mandate will be made unsuccessful with the help of public."

On the other hand, Minister for Information Senator Shibli Faraz has said that PML-N Vice-president Maryam Nawaz’s allegations and threats to media are a proof that her claims of freedom of expression are false.

In a tweet, Shibli Faraz said that the incumbent government is standing with media and will not allow any harm to the freedom of journalism.

She also remarked that Maryam Nawaz likes only that media which praises her. "PTI government fully believes in fundamental, constitutional and democratic right of freedom of expression," he added.
