Punjab CM Usman Buzdar approves a separate department for cleanliness in rural areas

LAHORE (92 News) – Chief Minister of Punjab UzmanBudar has approved Punjab Rural Sustainable Municipal Service (PRSMS), a separate department, to improve the cleanliness system in rural areas.

Under instructions from the Punjab CM, development projects in 50 rural areas have been started for making model villages.

The PRSMS will perform duty to improve the sewerage system and cleaning in villages.

An independent board of directors will be formed. CM said, “Under Intermediate Cities Improvement Investment Development, projects worth Rs 43 billion have been started in Sahiwal and Sialkot. A pipeline is being laid for the sewerage system and projects have been completed for the revival of parks.”

CM Punjab presided over the meeting of high officials of Intermediate Stains Improvement Investment, and reviewed the progress report of the program.

Local Government Minister Mehmoodur Rasheed, Punjab spokesperson Hassan Khawar, Chairperson of Planning and Development, principal sectary, CM Secretary for Local Government and Community Development, high officials of Punjab Intermediate Cities Improvement Investment also attended the meeting.
