LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar approved Rawalpindi Ring Road project under the public-private partnership on Saturday. Addressing a meeting of the Public-Private Partnership Policy and Monitoring Board on Saturday, CM Usman Buzdar said that Rawalpindi Ring Road project would cost Rs 50 billion and would resolve traffic problems of the city besides expediting economic activities. "The PTI government will fulfill all the promises with the people. "The government will fully support to complete the project at the earliest," he added. He said that the government a mechanism to start the PPP-mode projects as soon as possible and legal aspects will also be kept in mind. Usman Buzdar said that the Punjab government will start construction of Sheikhupura-Gujranwala Road. "In future, the public-private partnership policy will also be promoted for the construction of hospitals," he added. The meeting also approved the appointment of a transaction adviser for 10 other projects. Provincial Ministers Hashim Jawan Bakhat, Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed, Adviser to CM Dr Salman Shah, MPA Mian Muhammad Shafi and high-ranking officers were also present on the occasion.
