Punjab CM Usman Buzdar expresses concern over increase in COVID-19 cases

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has expressed his concern over an increase in the COVID-19 cases in the country.

During a meeting with Punjab Health Minister Yasmin Rashid on Tuesday, the chief minister ordered precautionary steps to save citizens from the fifth wave of COVID-19.

He said that 30 million families and 110 million people of Punjab will get health facilities till March. “Keeping in view of the current wave of COVID-19, citizens will have to be more careful about SOPs. The process of inoculating booster doses should be expedited. The Health Department should continue its campaign regarding inoculating the booster doze,” he directed.

Usman Buzar said that the Punjab government has provided the facility of vaccination at the doorstep of citizens. “The Naya Pakistan Health Card is flagship program of the PTI government. Every family can get medical treatment up to Rs one million yearly through the health card,” he maintained.

He also discussed the progress on distribution of the Naya Pakistan Sehat Card Programme.
