Punjab CM Usman Buzdar orders to run eco-friendly buses in big cities

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has directed to run eco-friendly buses in big cities.

Addressing a meeting of high-ups of the Transport Department, the CM said: “It is the need of hour to build public transport on modern lines for bringing prominent decrease in environmental pollution. We are introducing eco-friendly urban bus project. The project will help get control over smog. All cities will be provided the best transport services, including Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur,” he maintained.

The Punjab chief minister demanded a report of international level bus stand project at Thokar Niaz Baig. He also ordered to complete bus terminal project at Thokar Niaz Baig as early as possible. "By constructing Thokar Niaz Baig Terminal, there will be a decrease in environmental pollution in the city," he added.

Minister for Transport Jahanzeb Khichi, P&D chairman, secretary finance, secretary transport, principal secretary to CM and Punjab Board of Investment and Trade chairman were also present.
