Punjab CM Usman Buzdar visits shrine of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar

PAKPATTAN (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar visited the shrine of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganj Shakar on Thursday. He performed the 'chaddar poshi' and prayed for the progress and solidarity of the country and prosperity of the masses. He also prayed for the freedom of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Later, the chief minister visited Control Room established on the premises of the shrine. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that promotion of tolerance, patience, forbearance and brotherhood is the characteristic of the teachings of the saints. "Islam spread through saints and religious scholars in the subcontinent. Saints forwarded the immortal lesson of Islam. We get peace and spiritual satisfaction by visiting the shrines of saints," he maintained. He announced the establishment of Baba Farid University in Pakpattan. The chief minister expressed his displeasure at heaps of garbage at Dhaki, Pakpattan.
