Punjab CM Usman Buzdar’s father laid to rest in Taunsa Sharif

TAUNSA SHARIF (92 News) – The funeral prayers of Sardar Fateh Muhammad Buzdar, father of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, were offered in Taunsa Sharif on Monday here.

According to the details garnered, Usman Buzdar with large number of people including ministers, members of assembly, tribal elders, relatives and respectable members attended the funeral ceremony of Sardar Fateh Muhammad. Later, he was laid to rest in a local graveyard in Barthi, the family's native village in the tribal area of Tuman Buzdar, DG Khan.

Earlier today, the father of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar was died of a cardiac arrest. Sardar Fateh Muhammad Buzdar was thrice elected as MPA. He is survived by his wife, five sons and four daughters.

Umar Buzdar Khan, his son, told the media that his father was not well for some time. “He got ill yesterday night, we took them to District Headquarters Hospital but he breathed his last there,” Khan said.

Son of Sardar Dost Muhammad Khan Buzdar, Fateh was born in Barthi, DG Khan. He obtained an MA in Political Science in 1964 from Karachi University.

He served as a member of the Federal Council, Majlis-e-Shura, from 1983-84, and as a member of the DG Khan district council. He went on to serve as the chairman of the Standing Committee on Religious Affairs and Auqaf from 2003-07.
