Punjab CTD arrests nine terrorists during multiple intelligence based operations

LAHORE (92 News) - The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab have arrested nine terrorists during multiple intelligence based operations (IBO).

According to a CTD’s spokesman, two IEDs, 2, 768 kg quantity of explosives, 13 detonators, weapons, and cash have seized from the arrested suspects. They wanted to target important personalities and government buildings. The arrested suspects have been identified as Azam Khan, Mansoor, Farooq, Shami Pervez, Muhammad Siddique, Abul Manan, Ismail, Abdul Razzaq and Muhammad Bilal.

CTD’s spokesman said that 25 intelligence operations were conducted in one day. During the operation in seven days, 21,111 people were interrogated, 36 suspects were arrested and 33 FIRs were filed. He said that maintaining peace and order throughout Punjab is one of the top priorities of CTD.
