Governor Ch Sarwar accepts resignation of CM Usman Buzdar, Punjab cabinet dissolved

LAHORE (92 News) - Punjab Governor Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar has accepted the resignation of CM Sardar Usman Buzdar on Friday.

After the acceptance of the resignation, the no-confidence motion against the chief minister has become ineffective.

After the resignation of the chief minister, the Punjab cabinet has been dissolved. Now the opposition will field a joint candidate against Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi.

Meanwhile, a session of the Punjab Assembly has been summoned on April 2.
