Punjab govt allows shopping malls, automobile industry to work from Monday

LAHORE (92 News) – The Punjab government has decided to allow shopping malls and automobile companies to work from Monday. The decision was made during a meeting of the Punjab Investment Board chaired by Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal on Friday. He said that standard operating procedures (SOPs) have been settled with different sectors. Mian Aslam Iqbal said that 100 percent rehabilitation of the industrial estate is the policy of the government. “Job opportunities can be created by installing industrial units in the industrial estates,” he said. During the meeting, the 20-year performance of Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company was reviewed. The forum also reviewed the performance of consultants hired during the tenure.
