Winter vacations announced in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh

LAHORE (92 News) – The Winter vacations have been announced in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh.

The Punjab government has announced to observe the winter vacations from December 23 to January 6. In a tweet on Friday, Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas urged the parents to get their children vaccinated and follow the SOPs issued by the government.

In Sindh, the winter vacations will be observed from December 20 to January 2. In plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, schools will observe holidays from January 3 to 12, while in the hilly areas winter vacations will be from December 24 to February 28.

Earlier, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) had decided to observe the winter vacations across the country from January 3.

The decision was made during a meeting chaired by NCOC Chairman Asad Umar on Friday. The decision was made keeping in view the ongoing vaccination campaign in schools.

According to the NCOC, the winter vacations have been rescheduled due to the vaccination drive. As a result, hundreds of students will benefit from the vaccination drive.

The LHC had ordered to present the notification regarding closure of schools on December 21.
