Punjab govt bars officials from using Viber

LAHORE (92 News) - The Punjab government on Tuesday officially barred its officials from using the Viber mobile application on security concerns. The decision was taken after the National Telecom and Information Technology Security Board sent a letter to Punjab government and mentioned security concerns with the use of Viber and its affiliation with the Israeli Defence Forces. The letter said initiating calls or sending text messages through Viber are not safe.
