Punjab govt employees get 30% raise in basic pay

LAHORE (92 News) - The Punjab government has issued a notification regarding an increase of 30 percent in the basic pay of the employees.

The increase will be applicable from July 1, 2023. Moreover, a five percent increase has been made in the pension of retired government employees up to 80 years, while pensioners above 80 years will get an increase of 20 percent.

On the other hand, the government employees have demanded an increase of 35 percent in their salaries and 17.5 percent increase in pension on the pattern of the federal government employees.
