Punjab govt extends hours of shopping malls, markets till 10pm

LAHORE (92 News) – The Punjab government has extended the hours of markets and shopping malls till 10pm. Talking to the media on Thursday, Provincial Minister for Industry Mian Aslam Iqbal said that markets would remain open till 10pm from Friday. “In cities, people usually awake at 11am and there is a rush in markets by 2pm. The timings has been increased to reduce rush in markets. After the Eid, timings will be reduced to 5pm,” he said. The minister said that they had made the decisions in consultation with all traders. He requested Ulema to hold Eid congregations at open places.
