Punjab govt orders to restore Shalamar Bagh soonest: Hassan Khawar

LAHORE (92 News) – Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab Hassan Khawar has said that Punjab government has ordered to finish the project of restoring Shalamar Bagh soonest.

Addressing media on Thursday, he said that government has allotted Rs48 million for research study of this project. “Restoration of landscape is also important along with glorifying Shalamar Bagh. Parks and agriculture authority should complete the project of restoring landscape this year,” he added.

He said that in 2006 this project was said to be completed in Rs300 million within five years. “UNESCO has also suggested to restore Shalamar Bagh due to construction of orange train,” he concluded.
