Punjab govt quashes May 25 cases against PTI workers
LAHORE (92 News) - The Punjab government on Wednesday quashed the cases against PTI workers established on May 25.
Talking to the media on Wednesday, Punjab Home Minister Col (retd) Hashim Dogar said that the cases were fake and had been registered on political basis. "The people will give the response to the attempt to arrest Imran Khan, not the PTI," he added.
The minister said that inquiries against the officers involved in the May 25 incident would be completed at all costs. "The chief minister and the cabinet are following the policy of completing the inquiries against the said officers," he maintained.
He said that the Punjab government had proofs of torture on Shahbaz Gill from the day one. "We presented the proofs of the torture when the court demanded them," he added.
