Punjab govt reduces marriage grant to Rs80,000 from Rs150,000

LAHORE (92 News) – The Punjab government has reduced the marriage grant to Rs80,000 from Rs150,000. The government has issued a notification of the Benevolent Ordinance. Moreover, the amount for burial has been reduced to Rs35,000 from Rs50,000. The amount of educational scholarship has been reduced to Rs20,000 from Rs10,000. An annual grant of Rs28,000 has been fixed for intermediate, BA or equal diploma, while Rs32,000 has been fixed for Masters, GDS, MBBS, BSc Engineering, BSc Honors and D-Pharma. The monthly grant has been reduced to Rs6,500, Rs11,500 and Rs15,500 against Rs10,000, Rs15,000 and Rs20,000 respectively.
