Punjab police issue threat alert to PDM leaders

LAHORE (92 News) – The Punjab police have issued a threat alert to PDM leaders, including PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto and PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz.

According to letters sent to the leaders, terrorists could target Bilawal Bhutto, Maryam Nawaz, Fazalur Rehman, Saad Rafique, Ayaz Sadiq and Rana Sanaullah.

It stated that precautionary measures are not being implemented in the PDM meetings due to possible terrorism. "Workers are participating in the rallies without being frisked. The PDM will be held accountable in the wake of any untoward incident," the letter said.

The Interior Minister and National Counter Terrorism Authority (NATA) have already issued threat alert in this regard.
