Punjab to present Rs 1,200 billion budget on June 11

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Punjab will present the budget containing the volume of Rs 1,200 billion on June 11. Finance Minister Ayesha Ghaus Pasha will present the budget. A sum of Rs 402 billion has been allocated for uplift projects, while Rs five billion has been earmarked for the Laptop Scheme. Sources revealed that law and order has been given top priority in the budget and a sum of Rs 95 billion has been earmarked for the purpose. They said that Rs 47 billion will be spent on education, while Rs 60 billion has been allocated for the energy sector. “An amount of Rs five billion has been allocated for Lahore Command and Control Centre. Rs 30 will be spent on Multan Metro Bus, while Rs 10 billion has been reserved for Orange Line project,” they said.
