Qandeel murder case: Mufti Abdul Qavi remanded in police custody

MULTAN (92 News) – A local court remanded Mufti Abdul Qavi, accused of the Qandeel Baloch murder case, in the police custody for four days. The prosecution had sought 14-day remand of the accused as they want to scrutinize his bank accounts. Mufti Abdul Qavi told court that he had suffered heart attack for five times after his arrest. His counsel told court that Mufti Abdul Qavi has been declared an accused on the statement of the victim’s father, while he is not an accused in the statement of the main accused Waseem. He prayed that the court that Mufti Abdul Qavi is 60 and it is not justified to include him in the case through the polygraph test. Earlier on Wednesday, Mufti Abdul Qavi had fled after his bail was rejected. Later, he was arrested from a house in Muzaffargarh. Qandeel Baloch had informed about threats to her life during a press conference after the selfies.
