ISLAMABAD (92 News) - National Assembly (NA) Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri has resigned from his position on Saturday.

According to a press release, Secretariat National Assembly has received resignation of Qasim Suri.

Reacting on his resignation, PML-N leader Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that forcefully resignations were taken from PTI MNAs. “Deputy Speaker was not authorized of ruling. He does not know that he has done violation of law. I feel that next resignation would be of President of the country. Qasim Suri should have resigned on that day when ruling was passed. Election Commision of Pakistan (ECP) should take notice of this, these resignations are fake,” she added.

Meanwhile, PML-N leader Rana Sana Ullah has said that Qasim Suri should not have resigned. “70 pc of the people among those did not want to resign,” he concluded.
