Qatari investors keen to invest in different sectors of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) has showed keen interest in investing in housing, energy, tourism and Airport management sectors of Pakistan. This was expressed during a meeting between Prime Minister Imran Khan and a delegation of QIA headed by Sheikh Faisal Bin Thani Al-Thani in Islamabad today. Sheikh Faisal Bin Thani Al-Thani is head of Qatar Investment Department and Head of Qatar Regional Investment Fund at Qatar Investment Authority. The Qatari delegation included heads of various organisations in housing, toursim, real estate and energy sectors. Meanwhile, the prime minister welcomed QIA’s interest in making investments in various sectors of economy. He highlighted various business opportunities in tourism, housing and other sectors. He also highlighted various steps and policy reforms taken by the government to facilitate investors and the business communities. Prime Minister’s Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razzak Dawood and Chairman Board of Investment Haroon Sharif were also present during the meeting.
PM, Qatari Emir discuss economic, trade relations
On Jan 22, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan held one-on-one meeting with Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at Diwan-e-Amiri in Doha on Tuesday (today).

Later, two sides had delegation level talks which were led by PM Imran Khan and Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

During the delegation level meeting all issues of bilateral nature were discussed especially the strengthened economic and trade relations between the two countries. The Qatari emir also hosted a lunch for the prime minister and the members of his delegation. Earlier, a formal welcoming ceremony in the honor of PM Khan was held at Amiri Diwan in Doha on Tuesday. Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received the Prime Minister on reaching Amiri Diwan. The premier was presented with a Guard of Honor by a smartly turned out contingent of Qatari armed forces. National anthems of both the countries were played at the occasion.
