KARACHI (92 News) – The 139th birth anniversary of founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is being celebrated across the country on Friday (today).

Change of guards’ ceremony was held at the tomb of Quaid-e-Azam with Quran Khwani, which was attended by high level civil and military leadership.

The politicians and renowned personalities also laid flower wreath at the tomb and a large-number of people from all walks of life also visited his tomb to pay tribute to the founding leader.

Commandant Major General Nadeem Raza was the chief guest of the change of guards ceremony.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was the first commander in chief of the Pakistan Military Academy.

Meanwhile, President Mamnoon Hussain visits Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi and laid floral wreath at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam.

Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on December 25, 1876 in Karachi. The day is celebrated to mark the birth of a great leader and founder of Pakistan. Special programs are being held across the country to shed light on the Quaid’s struggle for creation of Pakistan and to highlight his guiding principles of unity, faith and discipline.
