Quetta observes shutter-down strike against target killings

QUETTA (92 News) - A shutter down strike in Quetta was observed against various incidents of target killing on Monday. As per reports, markets remained closed in the city while traffic was also thin on the roads. Frontier Corps (FC) and police fficials were deployed in various areas of the city to main law and order. Earlier on Sunday, at least six people of the Hazara community were killed in a firing incident in Bacha Khan Chowk while one was killed at Fatima Jinnah road. The call for strike has been given by Hazara democratic party and Balochistan Shia conference whereas National party, Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (MAP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) has announced to support the strike.
