Quetta’s Accountability Court approves Mushtaq Raisani’s plea bargain

QUETTA (92 News) – An Accountability Court in Quetta accepted the plea bargain request of former Balochistan finance secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Raisani on Thursday. The petition stated that the movable and immovable properties of Raisani should be transferred to the Balochistan government. Meanwhile, addressing a ceremony at Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry said that an amount of over Rs 3 billion has been received back from the Balochistan finance secretary that is being given for the development work in Quetta. He said that NAB has done an agreement with CPEC that will ensure transparency in the investment being made in the project. He further said that NAB is totally working against corruption. One who stole Rs 6 billion was only punished for 14 years. The punishment is in fact only of four to five years, he said, and added that the corruption is a serious issue. We receive many complaints but the evidences are not enough, he said. I have a right to take suo motto action but I hardly use it, he added.
