Qureshi granted bail in SSP torture, Parliament attack case

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has on Wednesday interim granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi in cases related SSP torture case and attack on parliament case. ATC Judge Shahrukh Arjumand heard the case related to SSP torture case and attack on parliament case. In today’s proceedings, Shah Mahmood Qureshi appeared before the court. The court approved the bail for the PTI leader until February 8 and ordered to pay a surety bond worth Rs100,000. Earlier, teh ATC last week granted bail to three Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders in four cases related to the attack on the Pakistan Television (PTV) and Parliament. The ATC Judge Shahrukh Arjumand heard the cases against PTI chief Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri alongside the three leaders and granted bail to PTI leaders Sheerin Mazaari, Asad Umer and Arif Alvi against Rs100,000 surety bonds each. On January 2, the anti-terrorism court (ATC) granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in four cases related to PTV and Parliament attack. Police had registered cases against Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr Tahirul Qadri along with their supporters.
