ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Former Senate chairman Raza Rabbani on Monday demanded to form the federal commission for indiscriminate accountability process. Speaking on the floor of the Upper House, the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader said that one-sided accountability would not work, however, all the institutions should have accountable. “One-sided accountability will not work in Pakistan. The politicians are not the only ones who are corrupt, unfortunately, everyone in society including myself is corrupt,” the senator said. Rabbani said that the statementwas linked to Prime Minister Imran Khan on the Senate chairman ruling was worse than the martial law tenure. He asked that why the ministers take the cases, under observations of the courts, to the Upper House. The PPP leader also demanded for the formation of a federal accountability commission comprising all stakeholders for indiscriminate accountability. Accountability should be across the board and not one sided, he added.
