Rabiul Awwal moon not sighted, Eid Miladun Nabi will fall on Sept 29

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad on Saturday evening announced that the Rabiul Awwal moon was not sighted and Eid Miladun Nabi would fall on September 29 (Friday).

The announcement was made after a meeting of the committee presided over by him in Islamabad. Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad announced that no testimony of moon-sighting was received; therefore, 1st Rabiul Awwal will be on September 18 and Eid Miladun Nabi will be celebrated on September 29.

Religious scholars from all schools of thought as well as weather experts attended the meeting. In addition, meetings of zonal committees were also held in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta.
