Raees Mama’s close aide among 7 arrested by CTD in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday arrested target killer Raees Mama’s close associate from Korangi area of Karachi. The accused had been working as a member of Unit 74 of a political party in 2001. He had killed a citizen in 2001 on behalf of the sector in-charge. The accused also confessed to extortion and arson activities. The CTD also arrested two suspects during a raid from whom arms and mobile phones were recovered. On the other side, a citizen was injured by robbers on resistance in Azizabad. In Sharafi Goth, four suspects were arrested after an exchange of fire with the Rangers and the police. Grenades and weapons were recovered from them. The Rangers also arrested a worker of Ghaffar Zikri gang from Lyari. The suspect was wanted in 25 cases and carried head money Rs 300,000. He was involved in the murder of security personnel and citizens.
