Railway suffering a loss of Rs1.2b daily, says Sheikh Rasheed

LAHORE (92 News) – Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed has said that the railway is suffering a loss of Rs1.2 billion daily. Talking to the media on Saturday, there is a lockdown till April 14. “The railway is the backbone of the country. Twenty trains will be run after permission from Prime Minister Imran Khan,” he said. He said that Tiger Force has no money and powers, but it has passion to serve. “Some elements do not want to see Pakistan making progress,” he said. The minister said that hospitals have been established in seven divisions. “A conspiracy is being hatched against Pakistan. Tableeghi Jamaat workers and devotees are being defamed. It is not time to play politics,” he added. Sheikh Rasheed said that the coronavirus pandemic is a test for the leadership which is working hard. “There will be no worry for pensioners and labourers. We have to fight against the deadly disease,” he added. He said that Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan and they are against atrocities being meted out to Pakistanis in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The minister claimed that no railway employee was suffering from coronavirus. “The suggestions forwarded by the opposition tantamount to criticism,” he added.
