Railways official requests 2-year leave citing differences with minister

LAHORE (92 News) – Railways Chief Commercial Manager Hanif Gill on Sunday requested for a two-year leave citing differences with Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed. In his leave application, senior official stated that he cannot work with Sheikh Rasheed as he has an unprofessional and indecent attitude. According to sources, Pakistan Railways Chief Commercial Manager is afraid of an inquiry against him. Gul requested for 2-years leave to escape from the inquiry. Prior to the application, Rasheed chaired a meeting of railways officials where he reportedly admonished them for telling “stories” about the department’s better performance. The officials reportedly told him that there has been a significant increase in railways income, to which Rasheed asked them not to praise “any minister” in front of him.
