Rain hits Lahore, other parts of Punjab

LAHORE (92 News) – The heavy shower of rain lashed Lahore and other parts of Punjab. As per reports, the rain turns the hot weather into pleasant. Punjab and different areas including Lahore, Kasur, Sialkot, Guranwala and Faisalabad received rain. The Met department has issued warning of heavy downpour. Water collected on the roads of Narowal due to the heavy rain. However, rain-thundershower with gusty winds are expected at scattered places in Rawalpindi division, Malakand and Hazara. In a statement, the PDMA warned medium to very high flood situation is expected in River Chenab from Sept 23 till Sept 28 owing to the likely downpour and release of water from India. It alerted the relevant provincial authorities to take measures to remedy the situation that may emerge from the expected flooding. On the other hand, the hot weather turned into pleasant in Lahore and the people came out from their houses to enjoy the weather. The families among children are visiting the tourist places and the restaurants. The Met department also said that other areas of the country will observe dry weather and Karachi will also face hot weather for more days. It is expected that the metropolis will observe Grade 40C temperature.
