Rains across the country, cold spell returns

LAHORE (92 News) – Widespread rains across the country on Sunday made a comeback for the concluding winter season. The temperatures dropped significantly in several cities with continuous rain spells. Rains and thunderstorms also lashed Lahore and the Federal Capital Islamabad in intervals. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted more rains till Tuesday in Islamabad, Upper Punjab, Upper FATA, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while isolated rain is expected in Bannu, Multan, D.G. Khan, D. I. Khan, Bahawalpur, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur and Quetta. Hailstorm is expected in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir during the period.
