“Raisani surrenders cash, gold to NAB”

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Director General Operations Zahir Shah has on Thursday said that former Finance Secretary Balochistan Mushtaq Raisani wanted to fled from the country after embezzlement of billions of rupees. Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Thursday, he said that the former finance secretary Mushtaq Raisani has surrendered Rs 653 million in cash and 3.3 kilogram of gold to NAB. The DG NAB said that Raisani has also given up two properties worth Rs 60 million and Rs 70 million located in Quetta and in Karachi. Shah went on to add that the former finance secretary has surrendered assets worth Rs 800m including two cars worth Rs 8m while his 11 properties are worth Rs1.25bn. He said: “The bureau will transfer the amount to its rightful owners after the plea bargain is materialized.” “The NAB will not keep a penny from this,” he added.
