LAHORE (92 News) – Rallies were taken out to show solidarity with Pakistan Army and against Indian aggression in various parts of the country on Friday. People from different walks of life took part in the rallies. A big rally after passing through various roads terminated peacefully in Sialkot. The participants chanted slogans against India and reaffirmed their resolve for protection of their homeland shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Army. The workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) set ablaze an effigy of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Jinnah House hours before Raiwind march to be held in Adda Plot near the resident of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. In Gujranwala, the eunuchs took to street to show solidarity with Pakistan Army and against Indian aggression, while in Abbottabad, Muslim Student Federation (MSF) staged a protest rally and chanted anti-India slogans. Tensions between India and Pakistan have been simmering since popular militant commander Burhan Wani was killed on July 08, 2016 which triggered a massive public uprising in which at least 90 civilians were killed and other 14500 were injured in forces action. India also pulled out of the Pakistan-hosted 19th SAARC summit scheduled to be held in November. Following suit, several members of SAARC, including Bangladesh and Bhutan, pulled out of the summit leading to its postponement.
