LAHORE (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has submitted a reply to the application of PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz for his acquittal in the Ramzan Sugar Mills case.

In the reply, the NAB stated that Hamza Shehbaz is the CEO of Ramzan Sugar Mills. “Authentic evidences are there which prove that the drain was especially constructed for Ramzan Sugar Mills through the national resourses. The complaint has been received that Rs360 million was spent for constructing the drainage system of Ramzan Sugar Mills. There was no sewage system in Ramzan Sugar Mills for the last 25 years," it stated.

The NAB said that Shehbaz Sharif ordered constructing drainage in the area of Ramzan Sugar Mills, while Sharif Dairy and Ramzan Sugar Mills are the main beneficiaries of the drain. "In the surroundings of drain, there are 11 societies and only two can benefit from the drain. Hamza Shehbaz is also involved in the matter. On the basis of the evidences, the accused should be convicted,” said the NAB.
