ISLAMABD (92 News) –The Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) PML-N has nominated Rana Tanveer as the new chairman for the Public Accounts Committee and also decided to appoint Khawaja Asif as the party’s parliamentary leader. According to the reports, a parliamentary party meeting headed by Khawaja Asif and Raja Zafarul Haq on Thursday, the party decided to appoint Rana Tanveer to the post of the PAC chairperson. During the meeting, they also decided to appoint Khawaja Asif as the party’s parliamentary leader. He was nominated by former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and approved by the rest of the meeting’s participants. It was also reported that for Rana Tanveer’s nomination, a letter will be written to the speaker, who will then issue a notification. Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif was the PAC chairman but the party has decided to hand over the post to another member. The party wants to push active and vocal members to the front. It is pertinent to mention here that currently Shehbaz Sharif is serving as the PAC chairman and he is also nominated suspect in the Ashiana Housing scandal and Ramazan Sugar mills cases. Shehbaz Sharif is facing the corruption reference in the Lahore accountability court. Now, the opposition leader is present in the London for inquiring health of his granddaughter and his medical check-up.
