KARACHI (92 News) – A Rangers official and three others, including a security guard, were injured in a cracker attack near Karachi University on Tuesday.

According to the police, two bikers had threw the cracker at the gate of the university. The injured have been shifted to hospital.

Earlier, a terror attempt to blow up car in Clifton area of Karachi was foiled as the bomb disposal squad (BDS) officials defused a magnetic bomb from a vehicle.

Two unidentified men on a motorcycle had planted a remote-controlled explosive device attached with a magnet on a vehicle parked in Clifton.

The discovery of the suspicious thing created panic among citizens who were present at the locality. Police teams have immediately rushed to the scene and summoned the BDS at the site.

It was also reported that they found ‘black-coloured explosive material’ in the device. After the BDS officials came in, the explosive device was defused after being removed from the vehicle. Heavy contingents of law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area.
