Rangers' special powers extended for another 90 days in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) - The Sindh government has extended special policing powers of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) in Karachi for another three months. According to a notification issued by the provincial home department on Friday, the Rangers will use special policing powers of search, sweep, raid, detention and interrogation till January 1, 2020. The Rangers get special authority under under Section 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997.
