Rape victim girl commits suicide in Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR (92 News) – A rape victim girl committed suicide in Khairpur Tamewali, Bahawalpur on Thursday. The victim's father had been visiting the police station for justice, but the police continued to talk about assembling both parties instead of registering a case. Before committing suicide, the victim said to her father that he would live with pride from tomorrow and took poison. When 92 News aired the news about the incident, the police registered a case and arrested the accused Luqman. Bahawalpur DPO Sohaib Ashraf said that he had detained SHO Anwarul Haq, Investigation Officer ASI Ashfaq and Moharar Muhammad Siddique for not providing justice to the victim. He said that he had met the victim family and assured her of justice.
