June 23, 2015
LAHORE (92 News) - Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada has said that India’s premier spy agency, RAW attempted to sabotage the Zimbabwe cricket team’s tour of Pakistan in May by sending a threatening SMS to a guest team manager in Dubai. Addressing the Punjab Assembly session on Tuesday, Shuja Khanzada said that a RAW official sent a text to the Zimbabwe team manager when the team landed in Dubai, threatening him that if they came to Pakistan, none of them would go back alive. "Zimbabwe team then informed Pakistan government regarding these messages," the minister said, adding that the administration launched investigation into the matter and found that the SMS was sent from one of the Indian intelligence official in New Delhi. images Khanzada also claimed that the explosion which took place in the second ODI at Lahore, was carried out by the infamous agency as well. Earlier last month, Zimbabwe became the first Test-playing nation to visit Pakistan after terrorists halted international cricket in Pakistan due to an attack on Sri Lankan team in 2009.
